Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva visited the Children’s Home social service institution No. 6 in Sheki on June 30.
“Elchi” reports that Leyla Aliyeva watched an artistic program performed by the children at the institution. Gifts were also presented to the children, and photos were taken with them.
It should be noted that the institution, which began its operations as Children’s Home No. 2 in 1936, has continued its activities as the Sheki Mixed-Type Children’s Home since 1988. In 2018, the newly constructed building of the institution was commissioned with the initiative of the First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva, and the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, which she leads.
Children deprived of parental care live in the institution.
Here, social rehabilitation measures are carried out to ensure the social adaptation of the children, and various services are provided to effectively organize their leisure time. The children at the institution are provided with social-domestic, social-psychological, medical-social, social-pedagogical, and social-legal services.
