Iran considers events in the Persian Gulf a violation of the ceasefire

The US commitment to ending the war in Lebanon is a huge victory for Iran.

“Elchi” reports, citing IRIB, that the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said this in an interview.

“Iran undertakes to ensure that passage through the Strait of Hormuz is carried out strictly according to its own rules,” he stated, adding that the Islamic Republic has faced an all-out war.

According to him, Iran’s resistance front extends from southern Lebanon to Yemen and Iraq:

“If they do not want to fulfill their obligations in the negotiation process, we are ready for war. We consider the events that took place in the Persian Gulf in recent nights to be a violation of the ceasefire. When the ceasefire was last violated, US bases in Bahrain and Kuwait were attacked.

This process shows that we are serious about the implementation of the memorandum.

In the diplomatic sphere, we are also trying to continue negotiations for the fulfillment of five conditions that must be implemented or the process of their implementation must begin immediately after the signing of the memorandum.”

According to him, negotiations with the US continued until the signing of the memorandum of understanding, and then a dialogue was held for the implementation of the five points. “Currently, no negotiations are being held,” Ghalibaf emphasized.
