Minister of Justice Farid Ahmadov met with the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Turkey, Akın Gürlek, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan.
According to the information provided to elchi by the Ministry of Justice, Minister Farid Ahmadov emphasized that the fraternal and allied relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey are successfully developing in all areas, and noted the importance of cooperation based on mutual trust and support between our countries.
During the meeting, the current state and development prospects of cooperation in the field of justice between Azerbaijan and Turkey were discussed. It was stated that the mutual visits, signed documents, and joint activity mechanisms implemented between the ministries in recent years have made a significant contribution to the further strengthening of relations.
The importance of expanding cooperation in the areas of legal assistance, penitentiary and probation systems, the application of digital solutions, exchange of experience, and personnel training was emphasized.
At the meeting, it was also noted that joint projects and multilateral cooperation mechanisms implemented within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States contribute to strengthening integration in the legal field.
The parties exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
