On June 24, the 2nd Graduation Day of the “Support for Girls’ Education” project was held, jointly organized by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, the Ministry of Science and Education, and the Education Development Fund.
“Elchi” reports that Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, attended the event.
In his speech, Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev emphasized the important role of girls’ education in the development of society, noting that the project has become a sustainable initiative and that 66 girls have graduated from the program this year.
Bahar Muradova, Chair of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, noted that 593 people have benefited from various programs of the project over the last five years. She highlighted that the project has created new opportunities for hundreds of women and girls.
Nicat Mammadli, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Education Development Fund, stated that a total of 489 participants have received support through various scholarship and development programs implemented by the Fund. According to him, the programs serve to expand educational and career opportunities for young girls.
At the event, this year’s graduates of the project were congratulated, and bouquets of flowers were presented to them. Afterward, an artistic program was presented.
It should be noted that the “Support for Girls’ Education” project is implemented with the aim of expanding girls’ access to higher education and supporting their future development.
