In the 2025-2026 academic year, 50,219 students are graduating from the 9th grades, 37,222 from the 11th grades, and 78 students from the 12th grades (full-time/part-time secondary schools and correspondence classes) of general education institutions under the Baku City Education Department (BCED).

It was reported that 41,941 students are completing the 1st grade in general education institutions in the capital.
In the current academic year, 530,988 students are studying in general education schools under the BCED.
It was noted that a total of 32,052 teachers are working in general education schools under the BCED.
In the 2025-2026 academic year, 21,384 children completed preschool groups in general education schools across the capital.
It should be noted that there are 371 general education institutions operating under the BCED.
