An Air India aircraft operating flight AI379 from Phuket to Delhi has encountered a severe turbulence zone.
“Elchi” reports that this was announced by the NDTV television channel.
According to the information, there were 137 passengers, including 3 infants, and eight crew members on board. As a result of the incident, 17 people, including 4 crew members, were injured.
The plane landed successfully at Delhi airport, after which all passengers and crew disembarked.
Air India stated that several passengers and crew members with minor injuries were taken to medical facilities for examination.
Later, the airline reported that five passengers had been discharged from the hospital, while the others are continuing their treatment.
The Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation stated that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has launched an investigation into the incident.
