The State Border Service carried out complex measures in October 2026 to neutralize unmanned aerial vehicles attempting to smuggle narcotic drugs and their precursors into the country.
According to information provided to elchi by the Press Center of the State Border Service, 46 people were detained for violating the state border. Of these, 26 were citizens of Afghanistan, 6 of Azerbaijan, 5 of Pakistan, 2 of Turkey, 2 of Morocco, 2 of Algeria, 2 of Palestine, and 1 of Iran;
• As a result of measures to combat illegal migration, 8 people were detained for attempting to cross the state border with a falsified date stamp and passport, or with documents belonging to someone else;
• 509 people were detained for violating border regime rules and appropriate measures were taken against them;
• As a result of measures to combat crime, 316 wanted individuals were detained by law enforcement agencies and handed over to the relevant authorities. The departure of 775 individuals banned from leaving the country was prevented, and the entry of 35 individuals banned from entering the country was also prevented;
• As a result of measures against the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs, 472 kilograms and 225 grams of narcotic drugs and 16,615 pills of various compositions were detected and removed from circulation.
Measures are continuing to ensure the reliable protection of our state borders.
