Turkey has expressed hope that after the parliamentary elections held in Armenia the previous day, conditions will be created for the signing of a final peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
“Elchi” reports that this was stated in a declaration by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Turkey.
Ankara welcomed the results of the vote and expressed wishes that the outcomes would serve the well-being of the Armenian people.
“We hope that in the post-election period, conditions will be created that will make it possible to sign a final peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” the Turkish MFA emphasized.
It was also noted that Turkey will continue to support the process of ensuring stability in the region based on the common interests of the South Caucasus states.
