Changes made to regulations regarding aviation personnel

The rules for the recognition of certificates issued to aviation personnel have been changed.

“Elchi” reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed a decree regarding this matter.

According to the decision, amendments have been made to the “Rules for the issuance of certificates, licenses, or permits to aviation personnel and the recognition of similar documents issued in other states,” approved by the Cabinet of Ministers’ decree No. 107 dated April 11, 2025.

Based on the amendment, the Civil Aviation Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan has gained the right to convert a certificate issued by another member state into a certificate belonging to Azerbaijani aviation personnel in accordance with the requirements of international aviation standards, based on the applicant’s request.

With this decision, the third sentence of clause 32.3 of the rules has been removed.

At the same time, a new clause 32.4 has been added to the document. According to that clause, during the conversion process, the Agency may require the applicant to undergo additional training or take an examination in accordance with their existing certificate.
