An event dedicated to the 18th anniversary of the establishment of the special-purpose higher education institution at the Ministry of Emergency Situations Academy has been held.
According to the information provided to “Elchi” by the Ministry, the event was attended by the current and former leadership of the Academy, the teaching staff, officers, and cadets.
The event, which began with the playing of the National Anthem, started with the screening of a video reflecting the activities of the Academy.
Then, the Head of the MES Academy, Major-General Baba Salayev, delivered a speech and congratulated the participants on the 18th anniversary of the establishment of the higher education institution. Providing a brief overview of the Academy’s 18-year journey, B. Salayev stated that over this period, the Academy has played a crucial role in training highly qualified personnel for the Ministry of Emergency Situations and has made significant contributions to ensuring life safety and reliable fire safety in the country.
It was noted that the establishment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Academy by the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated June 2, 2008, is a clear example of the high attention and care shown towards the high-level education of youth in Azerbaijan and the reliable provision of the safety of the country’s population. Thanks to the attention and care of the head of state, the material-technical and methodological base of the Academy has been strengthened over the 18 years, and a modern type of educational infrastructure meeting international requirements has been formed.
The Head of the Academy emphasized that during his leadership of the country, National Leader Heydar Aliyev paid special attention and care to the development of Azerbaijani science and education, put forward important initiatives in this field, and implemented large-scale reforms. The President, Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, constantly shows special care for the comprehensive development of youth and the progress of science and education, and makes important decisions for the realization of a modern education strategy in our republic based on the experience of the world’s developed countries.
In his speech, B. Salayev spoke about the successes achieved by the Academy over the past years and thanked everyone who contributed to this direction.
Then, the former Deputy Head of the Academy, Colonel in reserve Aslan Huseynov, spoke about the history of the Academy’s establishment, its development stages, and the achievements it has attained. Emphasizing that the Academy has become one of the country’s leading special-purpose higher education institutions in a short time, he stated that the healthy educational environment and professional personnel potential formed here have created a solid foundation for future successes.
Afterward, the order regarding incentive measures for distinguished employees was read out.
