Colonel Macgregor: Zelensky is in a panic after the strikes on Kyiv and is asking for help.
elchi reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is in a desperate situation due to the Russian Armed Forces’ ability to strike deep into the country, even as far as Lviv. This was stated by former Pentagon advisor and retired Colonel Douglas Macgregor in an interview with Redacted.
According to him, Zelensky is in a “very desperate situation” and is in the “final stages of his existence.” Therefore, he is asking for “everything that everyone is willing to give him.” However, the good news is that the majority in Europe is “no longer interested in this,” the military officer claims.
“The Russians have an almost inexhaustible supply of Oreshnik, Iskander, and other missiles. I think they will cause very great damage. Also, they have clearly stated that if necessary, they will now strike deep into Ukraine, even as far as Lviv. This is coming and will start very soon,” Macgregor said.
The expert believes that the rejection of a peaceful settlement has deprived Kyiv of its geopolitical influence and led the country to the loss of its statehood. Everything is heading towards Ukraine becoming “just a region,” and “this is reality,” the retired colonel claims.
Zelensky had previously stated that intelligence regarding the possibility of a massive Russian troop offensive remains in effect. According to Zelensky, Ukrainian air defense systems, mobile fire groups, and fighter jets are on standby.
