The first meeting of the Central Election Commission (CEC) in its new composition was held today.
According to “Elchi”, the meeting addressed organizational issues, specifically the election of the CEC chairman, deputy chairman, and secretaries.
Mazahir Panahov has been re-elected as the CEC chairman. Mazahir Panahov thanked the commission members for the trust placed in him.
At the meeting, Rovzat Gasimov was elected as the deputy chairman of the CEC, while Arifa Mukhtarova and Mikayil Rahimov were elected as CEC secretaries.
It should be noted that the draft decision “On the election of members and substitute members of the Central Election Commission” was discussed and adopted at the plenary session of the Milli Majlis held today.
