Two people wanted internationally have been extradited to Azerbaijan.
This was reported to elchi by the Prosecutor General’s Office.
It was stated that in accordance with the Convention on Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Matters dated October 7, 2002, the requests of the Prosecutor General’s Office regarding the extradition of Azerbaijani citizens Shahruddin Goylarov and Elshad Alasgarov were granted by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation.
According to the information, in the criminal case pending before the Salyan District Court, Shahruddin Goylarov is accused of violating traffic rules, which resulted in the death of the victim by negligence. He was declared internationally wanted for evading the court and hiding.
The other person, Elshad Alasgarov, is suspected of fraud in a significant amount, namely 15,000 manats, in a criminal case investigated by the Sumgayit City Police Department. A decision was made to charge him as an accused person, and he was declared internationally wanted for evading the investigation.
Both individuals were brought to Azerbaijan under the escort of a special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
Currently, relevant procedural measures regarding the facts are ongoing.
