Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova has met with a delegation led by Tony McLoughlin, head of the Ireland-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group, who is on a visit to our country.

It was noted that Sahiba Gafarova stated that during such contacts, an agreement was reached on the development of relations between our parliaments. The parties also noted the importance of joint activities in international parliamentary organizations.
Expressing his gratitude for the invitation to visit and the high-level hospitality shown, Tony McLoughlin noted that there are opportunities to establish closer ties between our parliaments. He said that such visits and contacts serve this purpose.
Stating that numerous international events are held in our country, Speaker Sahiba Gafarova said that Azerbaijan also presents its views to the world at such international events.
During the conversation, an exchange of views was also held on the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization and peace process, and other issues of mutual interest were reviewed.
