In January-March of this year, 6 thousand 880 tons of vegetable and animal fats and oils worth 9 million 890 thousand US dollars were exported from Azerbaijan.
“Elchi” reports, citing the State Customs Committee, that compared to the same period last year, the value of the exported product increased by 68% and the volume by 45%.
During the reporting period, the cost of exporting vegetable and animal fats and oils accounted for 0.1% of Azerbaijan’s total export costs.
In January-March, Azerbaijan imported 28 thousand 35 tons of vegetable and animal fats and oils worth 44 million 97 thousand US dollars.
This is 2.27 million (5.4%) more in terms of value and 1 275 tons (4.7%) more in terms of volume compared to the corresponding period last year.
During the reporting period, the cost of importing vegetable and animal fats and oils accounted for 1.1% of Azerbaijan’s total import costs.
