Since the commissioning of the Baku-Supsa pipeline until April 1, 2026, 738 million barrels of oil have been transported through it.

According to the information, the pipeline holds an important place in Azerbaijan’s modern energy strategy, ensuring the access of Azerbaijani oil to the world market via the Black Sea.
It is noted that the Baku-Supsa oil pipeline was commissioned on April 17, 1999.
“As one of the first international export projects implemented after the ‘Contract of the Century’, it made the export of Azerbaijani oil in the Western direction possible for the first time.
By contributing to the development of energy cooperation in the region, it created a solid foundation for the realization of subsequent major transport projects,” the report states.
