“Transportation of goods from Azerbaijan to Armenia…” – Shahin Mustafayev

As an initiative of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and a sign of our country’s goodwill, restrictions on the transportation of goods from various directions, including Russia, to Armenia through the territory of Azerbaijan have been lifted.

elchi reports that Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev stated this today at the 24th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Russia Intergovernmental Commission held in Zangilan.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that this step is aimed at strengthening trust in the region and serves the development of regional relations, the expansion of economic interaction, and transport-logistics cooperation.

Highlighting specific figures, Sh. Mustafayev noted that as a result of the opportunities created by Azerbaijan, cargo transportation is already being carried out:

“To date, nearly 26,000 tons of cargo have been delivered from Russia to the Republic of Armenia in transit through the territory of Azerbaijan. The main part of these goods consists of wheat and fertilizers.”
