Students receiving social payments for loss of head of family will no longer be required to provide certificates

In Azerbaijan, students will no longer be required to provide certificates to continue receiving social payments for the loss of the head of the family.

This was reported to “Elchi” by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

It was stated that while previously they were required to submit a certificate from their educational institutions every year, this requirement has now been abolished.

For children of families receiving a monthly pension or allowance for the loss of the head of the family who are studying full-time, this social payment is provided until they reach the age of 23.

As a result of a new digital solution implemented by the DOST Digital Innovations Center under the Ministry and the State Social Protection Fund, the process has been fully automated. Information about the full-time education status of children under 23 of deceased or fallen persons studying within the country is obtained electronically from the State Examination Center’s “Student-Graduate” information database. Thus, the process of continuing the mentioned payment is ensured automatically.

Education status is updated automatically every month, and there is no need to submit a certificate to continue payments. As a result of this innovation, the duration of pension and allowance payments for the loss of the head of the family has been automatically extended for more than 11.5 thousand full-time students without requiring a certificate.
