In January-March of this year, 6,540.9 kWh of electricity was produced in Azerbaijan, which means a 3% decrease compared to the previous year.
This was reported by “Elchi” with reference to the State Statistical Committee.
According to the information, during the reporting period, 6,342.6 kWh of the electricity produced in the country accounted for commercial products (a 2.6% decrease).
The largest share of electricity produced in the country – 5,466.3 kWh – fell to thermal power plants, which is 4.3% less than the figure for January-March 2025.
During the months of January-March of the current year, the remaining part of the electricity produced in Azerbaijan was obtained from hydroelectric power plants, as well as other alternative and renewable energy sources.
It should also be noted that during the reporting period, wind power plants in Azerbaijan produced 233 million kWh of electricity, which means a 51.8-fold increase compared to the previous year.
