Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received Pierre-Yves Fux, Deputy State Secretary of the Swiss Confederation and Head of the Eurasia Division of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.
This was reported to “Elchi” by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It was stated that during the meeting, the current state and development prospects of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Switzerland were discussed.
The parties reviewed issues of cooperation in political dialogue, economic and trade relations, energy, transport, and other areas of mutual interest, as well as work carried out within the framework of international organizations and platforms, and Switzerland’s plans regarding its OSCE chairmanship.
In addition, regional and international security issues were discussed, including the current situation in the region in the post-conflict period, the peace agenda promoted by Azerbaijan, the restoration and construction work being carried out, as well as demining activities.
The parties also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
On the same day, the next round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Switzerland was held. The consultations were led by Deputy Minister Fariz Rzayev on the Azerbaijani side and Deputy State Secretary Pierre-Yves Fux on the Swiss side.
