After the September 12 coup, those who tried to shake the Turkish nationalist ideology and the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) are now trying to poison Turkish nationalism through imported concepts and newly emerged suspicious organizations.

He stated that the “fifth column” and ideological manipulations play a key role in these insidious attacks against Turkish nationalism:
“Those who exploit the pure feelings of Turkish youth by reducing Turkish nationalism to ethnic chauvinism and racism have a hidden agenda: hostility towards the MHP. In this shadow play characterized by hostility towards the MHP, individuals who speak, write, or express opinions by presenting themselves as “Turkish nationalists” are actually only satisfying their own political ambitions, intellectual crises, and personal desires by selling their words and pens.
Those who turn the national sensitivities of Turkish youth into a bargaining chip will face the wrath of those same youth. Those who seek a place at any table for their political future and who treat the sacred principles of nationalism as mere jokes at the tables they sit at, what and where are you nationalists of?”, Bahçeli stated.
