Azerbaijan’s experience should be studied by those who don’t know how to end a war.
According to elchi, this was stated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the opening of the VII Global Forum on Intercultural Dialogue.
“Today we see new wars starting. We witness almost every year how difficult it is to end a war. It is easy to start a war, but it is very difficult to end it, and it is not easy to win either. Therefore, I believe that Azerbaijan’s experience — the experience of winning a war, where our war was just, the defeated side capitulated and did not go further, and we stopped when it was time to stop and offered peace — should be studied by parties currently at war who probably do not know how to end it. I think our experience will be very valuable in terms of determining which of the existing precedents we have created can be used in resolving certain conflicts. Yes, it is true that all conflicts are different, but they are all based on the same reasons,” the head of state noted.
