According to the information, compared to the same period last year, the value of wheat imported into the country increased by 35.4 million US dollars or 18.8%, and the volume increased by 166.1 thousand tons or 18.9%.
During the reporting period, the cost of wheat imports accounted for 1.6% of Azerbaijan’s total import costs.
In 9 months, Azerbaijan conducted trade operations worth 37 billion 211 million US dollars with foreign countries. This is 5.2% more than in the same period last year.
Of the foreign trade turnover, 23 billion 865 million US dollars accounted for exports, and 13 billion 346 million US dollars accounted for imports. In the last year, exports increased by 28.3%, while imports decreased by 20.4%.
As a result, a positive balance of 10 billion 519 million dollars was created in foreign trade. This is 5.7 times more than in the annual comparison.
