Iranian President Masoud Pezeşkian stated that the country is in a difficult situation, but despite this, efforts are being made to continue production in the energy and industrial sectors.
elchi reports that the “Tasnim” agency disseminated this information.
Pezeşkian made these remarks during a video conference speech at a meeting of the Planning and Development Council of East Azerbaijan province.
He emphasized the importance of granting broader powers to provincial officials. The President stated that local leaders should not wait for instructions from Tehran in all matters but should make independent decisions.
“We have never been in such a difficult situation in the 48 years since the Islamic Revolution. The enemy tried to collapse the country by assassinating enemy commanders and leaders, causing the deaths of leaders, and through comprehensive attacks. They wanted to prevent services to the population by blocking sea, air, and land routes, and to create discontent. But we have stood firm and are providing for the country’s needs,” Pezeşkian said.
He noted that central and local institutions must work together to solve problems:
“We will either build a road or find a way. With your help, we will overcome this path.”
Pezeşkian also spoke about attacks on energy infrastructure. He stated that power plants, gas networks, and industrial facilities have been attacked.
Pezeşkian called on the public to join the energy saving campaign and reduce energy consumption by wearing warm clothes at home. In his opinion, this will help the industry continue its operations.
