An increase in cargo transportation indicators has been recorded at Baku Port in January-September of the current year. “Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC (ADY) informed AZTV that in the first nine months of 2026, more than 6.3 million tons of cargo were transported through the port. This represents a 4.1% increase compared to the same period last year. The increase is observed not only in container transportation but also in the transshipment of dry cargo. In the first nine months of this year, 1.734 million tons of dry cargo were transported through Baku Port. This means an increase of more than 70% compared to the corresponding period last year. The results obtained show that Baku Port’s role as an important transport and logistics hub in the region is strengthening and transit cargo transportation is developing dynamically.
