The election procedure for the chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) is changing.
elchi reports that this was stated by MP Nizami Safarov during the discussion of proposed amendments to the YAP Charter.
Nizami Safarov stated that according to the current Charter, the term of office for the party chairman is 5 years. Upon expiration of the term of office, the Party Chairman can be re-elected by the Congress.
Nizami Safarov noted that this provision has been removed: “The leadership of YAP, an organized force without term limits, by President Ilham Aliyev will lead us to new successes and victories”.
