“Azerbaijan-Slovakia relations have reached the level of strategic partnership”.
“Elchi” reports that Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova stated this at an event held in Baku on the occasion of Slovakia’s Constitution Day.
Conveying the congratulations of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Sahiba Gafarova noted that Azerbaijan-Slovakia relations are based on traditional friendship, mutual respect, and trust.
According to her, as a result of high-level mutual visits, bilateral relations have reached the level of strategic partnership in a short period of time.
The Speaker noted that cooperation in the fields of economy, energy, investment, military-technical cooperation, culture, education, and inter-parliamentary relations is expanding. She emphasized that the launch of direct flights between the two countries will have a positive impact on tourism, business relations, and people-to-people contacts.
Sahiba Gafarova also mentioned the “Smart Village” project being implemented by a Slovak company in the village of Bash Garvand in the Aghdam district and called it an indicator of Slovakia’s support for the restoration of the liberated territories.
She expressed her confidence that the Azerbaijan-Slovakia friendship and strategic partnership relations will continue to develop successfully in the future.
