According to the information, the incident was recorded at a railway crossing in the residential settlement of Gidigeni (Galați county in eastern Romania).
According to preliminary information, the driver of the minibus ignored warning signs and entered the railway line at an unauthorized time. A passenger train operating on the Bucharest-Iasi route crashed into the vehicle, resulting in the deaths of all passengers in the minibus – two women, a man, and a child.
Train traffic on this section of the railway has been suspended. A criminal case has been launched, and the investigation into the fact is ongoing.
