Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić expressed his gratitude for Azerbaijan’s plans to participate in the “EXPO 2027” international exhibition to be held in Belgrade next year.
elchi reports, citing Report, that this was stated in a post by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić regarding the acceptance of the credentials of Tahir Taghizadeh, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to the country.
The Serbian President expressed his confidence that the dynamic development of strategic and traditional friendly relations between the two countries will continue during the ambassador’s tenure. A. Vučić emphasized that the mutual support of the parties for each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity constitutes one of the main foundations of mutual trust.
The head of state noted that the intensive political dialogue and regular meetings of officials at all levels are a clear indicator of the close ties between Serbia and Azerbaijan. He pointed out that the recent visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, to Belgrade and the holding of the first meeting of the Strategic Partnership Council within the framework of the visit opened a new page in bilateral relations.
At the end of the meeting, the Serbian President conveyed his best wishes to his counterpart Ilham Aliyev:
“I asked my esteemed interlocutor to convey my warmest greetings to my dear friend, President Ilham Aliyev, whose wise leadership and sincere affection for our country are one of the pillars of the general relations between our two states.”
