Kuwait and Bahrain secretly carried out strikes on Iranian territory in July.
“Elchi” reports that “The Wall Street Journal” (WSJ) newspaper provided this information, citing sources.
According to the publication, the Air Forces of Bahrain and Kuwait deployed fighter jets to destroy a number of military facilities, including storage sites for missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles. The WSJ claimed that, in addition, the United Arab Emirates provided intelligence for the operation.
Yesterday, Iran warned a number of countries in the region about possible retaliatory attacks following a statement by the head of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), Brad Cooper, regarding the participation of several member states of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and Jordan in military strikes against Iran. Iran has issued a warning regarding an attack on 7 countries.
“If this American claim is false, then these countries are obliged to officially deny it,” said Esmail Baghaei, the official representative of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, adding that otherwise, Iran would have the right to strike American military bases and facilities located on the territories of those countries.
The US and Israel began operations against Iran on February 28. In June, Washington and Tehran signed a memorandum of understanding providing for an immediate cessation of hostilities on all fronts, including in Lebanon. However, on the night of July 8, the US resumed large-scale strikes on Iran, accusing Tehran of violating the terms of the reached agreements regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
