In January-June of this year, 437.20 tons of tea worth 8 million 801.35 thousand US dollars were exported from Azerbaijan to foreign markets.

Compared to the same period last year, tea exports increased by 23.8% in volume and 19.35% in value.
In the first half of the current year, tea exports accounted for 0.02% of Azerbaijan’s total exports and 0.07% of non-oil sector exports.
During the reporting period, 6 thousand 521.67 tons of tea worth 39 million 487.15 thousand US dollars were imported into the country. Tea imports decreased by 7.85% in value and 7.5% in volume compared to the same period in 2025.
In January-June 2026, tea imports accounted for 0.47% of the country’s total imports.
It should be noted that in the first half of this year, tea production in Azerbaijan decreased by 2.4% compared to the same period last year, falling to 5 thousand 534.6 tons. As of July 1, there were 107.7 tons of finished tea products in the warehouses of industrial enterprises.
