On July 20, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Michael Harms, Chairman of the German Eastern Business Association, in Berlin.
According to “Elchi”, the meeting emphasized the growing interest of Azerbaijani and German businesspeople and their companies in joint activities, and discussed ways to institutionalize such cooperation.
An exchange of views took place regarding the existing potential in traditional and alternative energy, as well as opportunities in connectivity, transport, and logistics, including the Middle Corridor.
Recalling the adoption of a state program on agriculture in Azerbaijan, the parties touched upon the possibilities of applying Germany’s leading technologies in this field in our country, including the prospects for cooperation in the direction of “smart agriculture.”
During the conversation, an exchange of views was also held on utilizing our country’s tourism potential and other topics of mutual interest.
