According to the information, within the framework of the changes, the departments of Coordination of Statistical Work and Strategic Planning, Quality Management and Metadata, Trade Statistics, Service Statistics, Population Statistics, and Social Statistics have been abolished.
In the new structure of the Committee, the departments of Registry of Statistical Units and Methodology, Statistical Quality Assurance, Strategic Development, Domestic Trade and Service Statistics, International Trade Statistics, as well as Demography and Social Statistics have been established.
In connection with the structural changes, appointments have also been made to a number of leadership positions.
Elchin Haji, former head of the Social Statistics Department, has been appointed head of the Registry of Statistical Units and Methodology Department, Aida Ibrahimova, former head of the Trade Statistics Department, has been appointed head of the Domestic Trade and Service Statistics Department, Togrul Ajálov, former head of the Coordination of Statistical Work and Strategic Planning Department, has been appointed head of the International Trade Statistics Department, and Rza Allahverdiyev, former head of the Population Statistics Department, has been appointed head of the Demography and Social Statistics Department.
In addition, Ibrahim Ibrahimov, advisor to the Chairman of the State Statistical Committee, has been assigned the duties of head of the Information Technologies Department.
