More than 48,000 people received medical assistance at Khamenei’s farewell ceremony

More than 48,000 people received medical assistance at the farewell ceremony for the late Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei.

“Elchi” reports, citing ISNA, that Jafar Miadfar, head of the country’s Emergency Medical Services Organization, provided this information.

According to the report, a total of 48,804 people utilized the organization’s services between 12:00 and 16:00 on July 5:

“Of those who applied, 18,222 people received assistance at mobile medical stations. Among them, 54 people were hospitalized, 63 underwent outpatient surgical procedures, more than 18,000 received outpatient treatment, and 5,000 people were administered infusion therapy (serum).”

Miadfar noted that another 328 people sought help at specialized hospitals. Of these, 107 were admitted for inpatient treatment, two surgical operations were performed, and the others were discharged after treatment.

The head of the organization added that 30,254 people contacted emergency medical teams. Of them, 217 were evacuated to hospitals.
