Bank of America vice president dies in stabbing attack in New York

Bank of America vice president Erin Piacenti has died following a stabbing attack in New York’s Times Square.

According to “Elchi”, Reuters reported this information.

It is reported that E. Piacenti passed away in the hospital as a result of the stab wounds she sustained. She served as a vice president at Bank of America, specializing in business selection and conflict of interest issues.

New York City Council member Zohran Mamdani stated during a briefing that a woman armed with several knives attacked two people in Times Square.

Following this, police officers used a taser and subsequently opened fire.

New York Police Department Commissioner Jessica Tisch stated that the attacks are believed to have been random and unprovoked. According to her, police opened fire after tasers failed to stop the woman, who continued to advance toward the officers while still holding the knives.
