The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, received Lieutenant General Isa Saif Bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), who is on a visit to our country.

Colonel General Z. Hasanov, who positively assessed the current state of military cooperation between our countries, emphasized the importance of further expanding these ties. Speaking about the joint tactical-flight exercise “Falcons’ Meeting-2026”, the minister noted that such exercises will contribute to the expansion of military relations between Azerbaijan and the UAE and the development of our armies.
Lieutenant General Isa Saif Bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, expressing his gratitude for the sincere reception and hospitality shown, emphasized the importance of joint exercises and bilateral visits in conducting mutual experience exchange.
Afterwards, the First Deputy Minister of Defense – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, met with his counterpart from the UAE.
During the meeting held at the General Staff, Colonel General K. Valiyev highly appreciated the performance of the military personnel participating in the joint tactical-flight exercise “Falcons’ Meeting-2026” held in our country.
Lieutenant General Isa Saif Bin Ablan Al Mazrouei emphasized that all opportunities exist to further strengthen the relations between Azerbaijan and the UAE.
The parties held a broad exchange of views on the current state and development prospects of military cooperation between our countries, as well as on regional security and other issues of mutual interest.
After the meetings, the delegation was provided with detailed information about the work done at the Joint Air Operations Center of the Air Force.
