Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova has attended the farewell ceremony of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

It was stated that the delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan led by S. Gafarova visited the Islamic Republic of Iran on July 3 to attend the farewell ceremony of the former Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
At Tehran’s Mehrabad International Airport, the delegation was welcomed by Ali Nikzad, Deputy Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, Ali Alizada, Ambassador of our country to Iran, and protocol officials.
Afterward, the delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, led by S. Gafarova, participated in the farewell ceremony held at the Mosalla complex in Tehran.
At the event, the Speaker of the Milli Majlis met with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, and other officials, expressing condolences on behalf of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and conveying the deep sorrow and respect of the Azerbaijani people to the Iranian people.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani delegation includes Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev, Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis Ziyafat Asgarov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Samir Sharifov, Prime Minister of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Jabbar Musayev, and other officials.
