During his visit to Ireland, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with the country’s Prime Minister Micheál Martin and the President of the European Council, António Costa.
“Elchi” reports that he wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
“Together with António Costa and Micheál Martin, we coordinated the priorities of the Ukrainian agenda during Ireland’s presidency of the EU Council. First and foremost, we discussed the practical steps necessary for Ukraine to make maximum operational progress toward full EU membership. We also coordinated our positions on future support for Ukraine and strengthening sanctions pressure against Russia,” he stated.
Zelensky also noted that during Ireland’s presidency of the EU Council, Ukraine could achieve tangible progress on its path to membership and open all negotiation clusters.
Zelensky and Martin also discussed prospects for strengthening and expanding bilateral cooperation, particularly within the framework of the “Drone deal”.
