The number of state-funded plan places for the bachelor’s level of higher education institutions for the 2026–2027 academic year has been determined for the II and III specialty groups.
“Elchi” reports that this information was reflected in the 4th issue of the “Abituriyent” magazine.
The magazine noted that a total of 4,185 state-funded plan places have been allocated for the II specialty group. The highest number of state-funded plan places were allocated for the specialties of Economics (680), Tourism Organization (550), Finance (550), and Accounting (500). Applicants with a total score of no less than 150 and a score of no less than 50 in the second stage of the exam (for state-funded places, a total score of no less than 200 and a score of no less than 100 in the second stage of the exam) are allowed to participate in the competition for paid places in the specialties of Marketing, Business Administration, Tour Guiding, Tourism Organization, Accounting, Public and Municipal Administration, Finance, Economics, Management, International Trade and Logistics, and Service in Transport (by types of transport).
According to the information, a total of 4,218 state-funded plan places have been allocated for the III specialty group. The highest number of state-funded plan places were allocated for the specialties of Law (600) and Foreign Language Teaching (460). The lowest number of state-funded plan places for this group was allocated for the specialty of Literary Creativity and Screen Dramaturgy. Only 25 state-funded places are intended for this specialty. Applicants with a total score of no less than 200 and a score of no less than 100 in the second stage of the exam are allowed to participate in the competition (for both state-funded/state-subsidized and paid places).
It was noted that the requirements applied to certain specialties differ partially. Applicants with a relative score of no less than 40 in the English language subject in the first stage of the entrance exam are allowed to participate in the competition for specialties taught in English at state higher education institutions (excluding ADA University). Applicants with a relative score of no less than 40 in the foreign language subject in the first stage of the entrance exam are allowed to participate in the competition for the specialties of “Translation (by languages)”, “Philology (by foreign language and literature)”, “Foreign Language Teaching (by languages)”, and “International Relations” at state higher education institutions (excluding ADA University).
Applicants with a total score of no less than 150 and a score of no less than 50 in the second stage of the exam (for state-funded places, a total score of no less than 200 and a score of no less than 100 in the second stage of the exam) are allowed to participate in the competition for paid places in the specialties of Regional Studies (by regions), Museum, Archive Work and Protection of Monuments, and Social Work.
