Europe hit by a new anomalous heatwave: Temperatures to reach 40 degrees

Starting from Tuesday, anomalously high temperatures will be observed in France and Great Britain.

“Elchi” reports that the Associated Press agency announced this on Monday, citing the French meteorological service “Météo-France”.

“Météo-France” notes that extreme heat will prevail in the southeastern regions of France. The thermometer is expected to rise to 40 degrees Celsius.

In addition, “The Guardian” newspaper, citing the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), reports that air temperatures in the United Kingdom could reach 36 degrees Celsius, and a high-level weather alert has been declared in most regions of the country. The high temperatures are expected to last from Tuesday to Friday.

Extreme heat was observed in Europe in July. In a number of countries, air temperatures reached 40 degrees Celsius, and in some places, exceeded this limit. The highest level of weather alert was declared in several Eastern European countries, while Western Europe, especially Spain, France, and Greece, suffered from large-scale forest fires and severe drought.
