This was reported to “Elchi” by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population (MLSPP). According to the information, no probationary period is set when concluding an employment contract with persons in this category, and their attestation is not conducted.
It was stated that the duration of shortened working hours for employees under 16 should not exceed 24 hours per week, and for employees aged 16 to 18, it should not exceed 36 hours.
Annual leave for employees under 16 must be granted for no less than 42 calendar days, and for employees aged 16 to 18, for no less than 35 calendar days.
It is prohibited to involve employees under 18 in work involving the lifting and moving of heavy objects exceeding established standards.
Furthermore, an employment contract with an employee under 18 cannot be terminated on the grounds of their failure to meet the requirements of the position due to an insufficient level of professionalism or qualification (profession).
It is prohibited to employ persons under 18 in workplaces with heavy or hazardous working conditions, as well as in underground tunnels, mines, and other underground works, in night clubs, bars, or in the production, transportation, sale, and storage of alcoholic and energy drinks, tobacco products, and toxic preparations, or in any other work that may pose a threat to their life, health, or morality.
