Due to severe weather conditions, major disruptions have occurred in air traffic in London and several other regions of the United Kingdom.
elchi reports, citing BBC News, that hundreds of flights have been delayed and some canceled due to the transition of hot weather into storms.
According to flight tracking services, more than 600 flights were delayed at Heathrow and Gatwick airports on Saturday. Approximately 367 flights were postponed at Heathrow and about 352 at Gatwick.
The UK’s air traffic control service has warned that the disruptions may continue for the rest of the day.
The most significant disruptions are occurring in the airspace between the southeast of the UK, where the storm cloud zone is located, and the northwest of Europe.
