Kremlin foreign policy advisor Yuri Ushakov stated that Europe wants the war in Ukraine to continue and is doing everything possible to make people forget the agreements reached between the US and Russia at the Anchorage summit.
elchi reports that the 12th Primakov Readings International Scientific and Expert Forum has begun in Moscow, the capital of Russia.
The forum, attended by approximately 400 experts from 17 countries, including Turkey, as well as Alexander Dynkin, head of the Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences, was also attended by Kremlin foreign policy advisor Yuri Ushakov and Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of Russia Konstantin Kosachev.
In his speech, Ushakov drew attention to the numerous sanctions imposed by Western countries against Russia, saying: “(The West) does not hesitate to use all kinds of pressure tools to hinder its rivals at global and regional levels. These are military, political, and economic tools.”
Ushakov stated that the West is trying to disrupt the international order, saying: “There are attempts to break up integration unions, including our country. At the same time, false ideas are being put forward that involve reconsidering the history and geography of peoples who have lived side by side and helped each other for centuries. All this can lead to a tragedy like Ukraine.”
Touching upon the G7 Leaders’ Summit hosted by France, Ushakov said: “At this summit, the Europeans did everything they could to mobilize the West to continue the war until the last Ukrainian dies and to forget the agreements reached at the Anchorage summit.”
He expressed his satisfaction with the memorandum of understanding reached between the US and Iran and stated his hope that the negotiations started on this issue would be productive.
Ushakov stated that Russia’s proposal regarding enriched uranium in Iran remains in force.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is also expected to attend the two-day forum.
