China has successfully launched a new experimental communication technology satellite into space from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in the country’s southern Hainan province.
elchi reports that the Xinhua agency has released information regarding this.
The launch was carried out on Tuesday at 10:10 Beijing time (06:10 Baku time) using a modified “Long March-7” carrier rocket. The spacecraft successfully entered its intended orbit.
According to Chinese officials, the satellite is intended for providing satellite communication, radio and television broadcasting, data transmission services, as well as testing and verifying new communication technologies.
This launch marked the 653rd mission for the “Long March” series of carrier rockets.
