Memorandum signed between the Forensic Science Center and BSU

A Memorandum of Cooperation has been signed between the Forensic Science Center of the Ministry of Justice and Baku State University with the aim of developing the field of forensic science in the Republic of Azerbaijan in line with modern challenges, training highly qualified expert personnel, and strengthening the unity of science and practice.

Information about this was provided to “Elchi” by the Ministry of Justice.

It was stated that, according to the memorandum, the institutions will cooperate in the areas of training personnel in the field of forensic science, increasing the practical knowledge and skills of students, promoting scientific research activities, integrating innovative technologies into forensic processes, and preparing joint scientific publications.

Within the framework of the cooperation, students of Baku State University studying in the fields of mechanics-mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, ecology and soil science, geography, philology, geology, and law will have the opportunity to intern at the Forensic Science Center, and special training programs aimed at preparing experts in relevant fields will be implemented. At the same time, the implementation of joint scientific projects and professional development programs in the fields of forensic handwriting examination, forensic authorship examination, forensic biological examination, technical examination of documents, forensic examination of materials, forensic psychological examination, forensic ballistic examination, forensic trace examination, forensic examination of audio and video recordings, and forensic linguistic examination is planned.

The memorandum also forms an important cooperation platform that will contribute to expanding scientific knowledge in the field of forensic science, strengthening ties between education and practice, involving young specialists in expert activities, and developing forensic activities in the country in accordance with international standards.
