President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received member of the US House of Representatives Abraham Hamadeh on June 17.
elchi reports that President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that Azerbaijan-US relations have been developing successfully since Donald Trump’s return to power.
Stating that his personal relations with the US President are at a high level, the head of our state recalled with pleasure his visits to the United States and meetings with Donald Trump, as well as Vice President J.D. Vance’s visit to our country, and noted that the signing of the “Strategic Partnership Charter between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the United States of America” has a historic role in terms of expanding our relations.
During the conversation, the importance of Abraham Hamadeh being a co-sponsor of the bill introduced in the US Congress regarding the repeal of Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act was touched upon.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed his confidence that Abraham Hamadeh’s visit to our country would be successful.
Expressing his pleasure at being in Azerbaijan, the guest said that our country is located in a very unique place geographically.
He also emphasized that prestigious sports competitions such as UFC and Formula 1 are held in Azerbaijan.
During the conversation, touching upon the efforts of the presidents of Azerbaijan and the US towards deepening our strategic partnership, it was noted that both leaders attach great importance to the development of our interstate relations.
The role of Donald Trump in advancing the peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia was especially emphasized, and the opportunities that the TRIPP corridor will create in terms of the development of regional transport connections were touched upon.
At the meeting, an exchange of views was held on strengthening the dialogue between our country and the US Congress, it was stated that there are good opportunities for expanding cooperation in economic-trade, investment, energy, security, connectivity, technology and other fields, and the prospects of the Azerbaijan-US partnership were discussed.
