MES has appealed to the public regarding safety rules on beaches.
This was reported to “Elchi” by the MES.
It was stated that currently, hot weather conditions are being observed across the country, including in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula:
“Such weather is expected to continue on Sunday. In these weather conditions, especially on weekends, citizens flock to water bodies for recreation in large numbers.
However, it must be noted with regret that the failure of some citizens to follow relevant safety rules leads to tragic consequences.
In connection with the above, the Ministry of Emergency Situations once again appeals to citizens heading to water bodies for rest and cooling, reminding them of the importance of following relevant safety rules.
It should be remembered that it is forbidden to swim in areas not designated as beaches, including canals, rivers, ditches, and other water bodies, as well as to swim beyond the marked boundaries of the swimming zone, and to enter the beach with boats and small vessels other than rescue equipment. Children should not be left unattended on the beach, and the instructions of warning signs and boards, as well as the calls and demands of rescuers, must be followed unconditionally. Staying under the scorching sun for long periods and entering the water after dark is dangerous.
Remember: Indifference to the rules is a threat to our lives!
In case of danger, call 112!”
