The possibility of a memorandum of understanding being signed by the Presidents of Iran and the US, Masoud Pezeshkian and Donald Trump, is being considered.
“Elchi” reports, citing the “Tasnim” agency, that this was announced by the spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmail Baghaei.
“This idea is being considered and is still in the exploration stage,” he stated.
Baghaei added that Iran’s program for the Geneva meeting has not changed: “Currently, there have been no changes to Iran’s programs for holding the Geneva meeting.”
Earlier, US President D. Trump stated that Washington intends to discuss the possibility of concluding a regional agreement on the limitation of missile weapons with Iran and the Persian Gulf countries.
It should be recalled that the White House chief, in his speech following the “G7” (“Group of Seven”) summit held in France, said that an agreement with Iran could be signed on June 18-19.
