“We are pleased with the progress in the peace and normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.”
“Elchi” reports that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said this at a press conference held after his meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.
“We are pleased with the progress in the peace and normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia. The steps taken within the framework of the process already show that peace is being established in the region. Economic rapprochement, the expansion of transport and trade routes, and cooperation in the energy and logistics sectors will be the guarantors of regional stability.
We believe that the issues of the South Caucasus should be discussed by regional countries and close neighbors within the framework of dialogue and cooperation. As my Russian counterpart also noted, the 3+3 platform forms an important framework for cooperation in this sense,” Fidan noted.
