“Elchi” reports that Speaker Sahiba Gafarova stated this at today’s plenary session of the Milli Majlis.
The Speaker noted that June 15 – National Salvation Day holds an exceptional place in our history: “Heydar Aliyev’s return to power was the historical choice of the people; the Great Leader preserved independent Azerbaijan as a result of his ability to respond to the challenges of the time: “Our country has become the center of global economic and political events. The modern Azerbaijani state is a product of Heydar Aliyev’s genius. Heydar Aliyev is also the founder of today’s parliament. The end of the 30-year occupation of our lands and Azerbaijan’s transformation into a strong state are the results of the consistent continuation of Heydar Aliyev’s political line. On the eve of National Salvation Day, we commemorate the dear memory of Heydar Aliyev. The Azerbaijani state, which has drawn strength from Heydar Aliyev’s intellect, will continue to achieve success in the future.”
